Ohio Benefit Bank
Zion CDC as of fall 2011 has been designated an official site of The Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB). OBB is an online tool used to determine eligibility for benefits for low-income individuals.
Ashley Hale is an Oberlin College Bonner Scholar who is certified and trained as an OBB Counselor. In this role she assists Zion CDC clients who need assistance completing the online Benefit Application. Ashley is a Freshman at Oberlin College from Seattle, Washington. She plays the trumpet in the Oberlin Jazz Ensemble and is currently in the process of applying to the Conservatory to pursue a Double Degree in Music Performance and a possible Neuroscience degree.
Residents of the service area are eligible to utilize this service at Zion CDC. To determine whether you qualify to receive Ashley's assistance, contact Zion CDC at (440) 774-1800 or angela.wu@zioncdc.org.
To determine your possible eligibility for benefits, there is an online test that takes about ten minutes to complete.

The Benefit Bank Applications can also be accessed on your own with an internet connection. They are designed to be completed by individuals without any special expertise and are extremely user friendly.

Ashley is here to assist people who either do not have an internet connection readily available to them or who have a disability (computer illiteracy included) preventing the completion of the application alone.
