Homebuyer Training and Financial Literacy

A comprehensive training program to prepare individuals for home-ownership as well as assist people who need to improve their credit. These programs prepare residents for future home purchases by teaching basic requirements of home ownership including paperwork, inspections, credit reports, and information regarding home appliances and systems.

Past Successes:

  • Financial Literacy and Money Savvy Seniors was conducted on September 29, 2010 with 13 participants.
  • The Executive Director attended A Call to Action for Financial Literacy, “Train the Trainers”, sponsored by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on 10-12-10 to assist Zion CDC in developing and implementing future financial literacy programs.
